To fix the rattles listen to where it is coming from.
WHen you find the problem areas look into Dynomat or similar material to damp tha offending panels. If that doesn't work modeling clay works good to. The idea is to add mass to the rattles so tha resonant frequency lowers out of the audible range.
I had an '88 TA and I had to fill the entire rear bumper cover with clay to get it to stop rattling.
Good Luck

I had the same problem (bandpass dual 10"s & dual 15"s) You have to just let it hit and piss off the neighbors so you can hunt down every rattle. Before you spend a bunch of money on Dynomat, try blocks of styro-foam. Just cram them right where the rattle is, inside the door or where ever. My tailgate was the worst, so I got an old blanket and stuffed it in there. Like Knudsonm said, you have to lower the resonant point.

I have 3 bad rattles. One is coming from behind my dash and I hear it through my defrost vents, one is my passenger side rear view mirror, and the worst one is my damn sunroof. Bastard thing shakes so much I cracked it about a month ago. So I replaced it, and now on the front passenger side corner it just rattles real good. pisses me off and I can't fix it. But the one that puzzles me most is the dash one. Does anyone know what that might be???

The defroster vents are made of very light plastic. They are probably the cause of the rattle. If it REALLY bothers you, you can take out the dash and Dynomat the vent plumbing. As for the sunroof I don't know. The only one I've ever had that didn't rattle was the stock power "moon"roof in a '91 Honda Accord.
For some reason i read past the "I had 8 RF's" but now I am just irritated. Thats like saying I am osama bin ladin. Cut the bs kid. Go impress some 6th graders your age. You waste our time reading you new posts.

my blazer also rattles but all i have are 2 10 from JL Audio and they are very good speakers because everyone that hears me coming down the strets thinks i have 4 or more. mine rattles mostly the tailgate window and the cover that covers the windshield wipers. The roof rack also rattled because it was coming apart and so i just tore it off and it now sound a very little better

Uhm, Ihatehytz, CAPS LOCK is for people too stupid to know how to properly use the shift key. Plus it's almost as irritating as the CONTENT of your posts. ENOUGH ALREADY!
Did he just try to make fun of me?
What is that!?
I won't even repsond to. I can block his posts so I don't have to read them can't I?

Canadieon, I dont know if we have the same rattle, but mine sounds like its coming from the same area. But I have specifically located mine to the vent cowl on the outside of the truck. There is nothing preventing it from rattling in the center... if you turn up the system and go and hold it, it stops my rattle dead. Try it sometime and see if it helps.

I have the same problem but i think i have a solution to that.
the cowl in the front rattles when i put my system up so i was thinking what if i put a piece of foam or soft plastic under it?
JUST AN IDEA
