I don't want to put a 350 in my blazer now because i want to buy a s-10 and get it tubbed out and just trick out the motor. i just want to put a bigger motor in my blazer so i can tow the truck to the track. what would i have to do to switch out the 2.8 for a 4.3?

I want to swap a 2.8 for a 4.3 and cant find the 4.3 anywhere. I'm not going to pull one out of a broken down Bretta either. I want one brand new or rebuilt. I have 153K mi. on her. I want to start at 000000.

I have a 4.3 ready to be built. I pulled from my Blazer when I put in the the 350.

I'll sell it cheap.

I want it. But what does it cost to rebuild one? I mean a full overhaul.

Summit rebuild kit 4.3 V6

$315.95 for forged piston kit
$229.95 for hypereutectic piston kit

plus machine work

Bore cylinders, align hone crank journals, magnaflux, turn crank?

a few hundred more

with the hypereutectic pistons and a fully assembled rebuild probably 500 - 600.

The engine I have is out of a 90 so it has TBI.

yeah I'm tired of getting beat by rice burners...I want some thing bigger, but not a V8...I'm gonna check junk yards....do the 4.3's come with a carburator or is it TBI? Which is better?
