I got a similar issue I have a 94 with the vortech I wanna toss a nice exhaust on there, but I would also like to be able to use the same exhaust for my 350 once I get it, is that possible what would everyone recommend.

I gotta admit the flow delta 40s are ill but man... flows restrict!!
Im in a debate right no wjust figuring out what muffler to get . But if you're talkin 350 then i gotta say straight pipes would definitely make it sound liek a monster:cool: :bigthumb:

Flows 40's are gunna be just about the least muffled muffler your going to want.

Ever heard the term less is more.

if you have ever ridden in a truck with a decent motor with straight pipes or open headers you would go nuts.

I had a straight pipe on my 85 mr2. It sounded like 1000 chainsaws were chaseing me down the road.

At any rate, go with mufflers. I think straight pipes sound like shit. Proper exhuast size, and mufflers can actually make more ponies and low end tq than straight pipes or no exhuast.

you all got me thinking about flow 40s now, i know that the straight pipes are loud as hell, but i wasnt sure if it would be just ridiculous after a while riding in it.ive lived a deprived life, the only time ive ever rode in a car with a smallblock and straightpipes was in my cousins 67 nova, back when i was like 8, and i remember hating it. but hell i was young , and i didnt know loud is good!i can see what you mean by less is more though, i guess i could go crazy after a while. i havent decided 100% yet, but i think i am gonna go with some kinda muffler.

Depending on what kinda hp, headers, 2.5 pipe, a good X pipe, and some high flow mufflers will make the most hp. I've got 2.5 true duals with 40 flow's and dumps in front of the axle. Im gonna be adding a H or X pipe soon. It sounds mean. Loud enough to wake the neighbors and set off alarms. But not as annoying as straight pipes.
