    Cleaning my grille

Ok, right where the hood meets the fender near my front grille, there is this brown film. I've seen it on other gen2 blazers, so I don't think it's uncommon. I tried scraping it with a key, but I didn't see much change. Is this a film that can be cleaned, or do I need to get my front grille repainted. It's the stock plastic grille with the shiney chrome paintjob, but that's all I know about it.

So do I rub it clean with an adhesive? If so what?
    Or buy chrome spray?

I would not recommend using chrome spray paint! It looks terrible. It will never get the same finish as you have now.

    errr

Well, I scrubbed it with glass cleaner and a rag, and nothing happened
so I used to my dremel with the polishing bit, and it looks like I took off the finish
looks like it's gonna be painted green this summer
