hey do you think a power locks solenoid would work to pop the glass and have a handle inside like bl1?

I don't think it would work, mainly because it needs power in both directions to operate. to lock and unlock. ya need to get a solenoid out of another vehicle that had a power window solenoid. I got one out of an old station wagon, from pick a part, to pop my tailgate since I'm shaving the t-handle. you could get the right solenoid grom chevy but it was like over $100 I belive. I paid 15 for mine a pick a part. then ya just have to make it work

A cable can also be used like a heavy duty manual choke cable.

if u know anything about the locking mechanism that goes around the posts then u know what im talking about here. There are little tabs that stick out that u can open the gate manually when the cover is off. ive seen people just extend these arms and notched the cover and u just reach inside and lift up on the two new arms...

its cheap and easy...all u need is a welder and some steel

just thought i would throw this out there.
