Id love to do some c5 brakes and have a local machine shop make the caliper adapters for cheap and mod the spindle myself, but even used vette hardware is too expensive so naw.
my zr2 has the dual piston fronts and single piston rears, even with 31's that bitch stops better than the blazer

think im just gonna fix the sticking hardware and get some new rotors and ceramic pads then asjust the rear shoes to make sure they are just barely rubbing the drums and drive it like that for a while, i have other expenses to worry about before a brake upgrade.

not gonna lie, while daily driving my sunbird last several years, there had been about 3 times i know for sure i would have wrecked my blazer if that was what i was driving instead.

That sunbird cant do a whole hell of alot of anything but the one thing it can do surprisingly is put you through the windshield when you hit the brake pedal.

you should be able to swap everything to 98+ dual piston. Spindle/caliper/rotor combos are 35 bucks at pull a part

Id imagine that the 98+ 4wd spindle would bolt up on a 1st gen.

there are a few differences with the first gen stuff and the 98+ stuff.

i know the lower control arms are different, and they run a different sway bar, the say bar has more in common with a 2wd than a 4x4 so its worth the swap away from the first gen 4x4 junk.

well got a lead on everything for 100 bucks, so IF all the parts are good and the bearings arent bad im gonna do this. No way is that worth it to me if i gotta buy new bearings also.
