Take the VIN number that is on your vehicle title to the local dealership and ask them what gear ratio is in your rear end.

You can also look on the rear end. It will be on the passenger side axlehousing just inside the leaf spring perch on the front side.

I checked mine and it said ("GQ1" Open Differential Rear Axle)

    What does this mean?

It basically means you have a standard rear end with no traction adder of any kind. If you are looking in the glove box, both codes should be there. The open rear diff code and the ratio code. Check it close for both.

    s-10 forum says: G75 GVW RATING , "4,550 LBS"

a list of gm RPO codes says: "axle rear: 3.62 ratio"

    so i'm guessing 3:62's
