hey man its comin along great! i hear ya about the old 2.8 in the dumpster thing. i just pulled mine 2 days ago and im starting the conversion very soon. the AWD thing that guy mentioned on the first page sounded pretty sweet. that would be tight as hell if you could go with that. later, John

well...its been a long time since I've done anything with my truck.. but know I'm back at it....

here are some things i got for it...
    mostly suspension mods.....

Ground Force 3" lowering blocks and 4Ground Force drop shocks...

these shocks are so stiff...gonna give me a nice ride and resist bottoming out...;)

the shocks took me a few times to get the right ones since there is a difference in front shocks from the 2wd and 4wd...they didn't have listing for the 4wd so i had to go through the specs and find a set that would work....

I've also got the motor and tranny at the shop

the motor is a 350 from a 76 van and the tranny is a 700r4 from 80's pick up truck. I saw and heard the motor run in an s10 and it sounded great. I've got the motor on an engine stand and I took the heads off just to do some measuremenst and took the oil pan to check the bearing's in the bottom end... Im waiting for some parts to arrive from the distributor

    -edelbrock air cleaner #4207

-edelbrock valve covers #4248 with 4204 breather

    -edelbrock water pump
    -edelbrock performer RPM intake

I also have a Holley 600 cfm carb coming and a comp cams mild street cam on its way....

Im not sure but I might also be getting and new block and heads..not sure what the specs are but I will see once it arrives. There is no crank shaft or internals in the new block...its just a block and the heads I think are complete.

I will take pix and update u guys once all the good stuff arrives...:bigthumb:
