I said "MOST". All the guy around here, from many different shops, wanted to sell me rims for my 2wd with offsets from 20- to like 60 mm!! Thats too much. I insisted on a 0 offset, and they still got it wrong, I ended up with a 15mm offset. Tires rub on turns. It'd be perfect if I had 0

What about 18x8.5 rims w/ a zero offset. Do u think those would tuck?

Lets see, 8.5' rim is actually 9.5' wide. With a 0 offset, that be a 4 .75 of backspacing. Thats about what mine is. I've read from other guys that a 8.5" wide rim is too wide for the front of a 1st gen. Should be fine for a second, with the right tire combo.

how is 8.5' actually 9.5'? I though it would just be 8.5' wide. I have a 87' S10 Blazer. Did the people that said the rims were to wide to tuck have a 0 offset? Do u think they'd tuck on my 87'? What about spacers?

The rim width is measured where the tires will mount inside of the rims. If a rims is 18x8, if you put a tape measure across the the rim it will measure 9" wide. I've heard that 8.5" is too wide for the front of a 1st gen s-series. I'm not totally sure about that. I've never seen them on one. Are you gonna bag it? With mine dropped like it is, I don't think I'd have a problem if they came out to the fender. Unless I was turning full and bottomed out at the same time.

I plan on baggin it in about a year. I've seen a 2nd gen. S10 tuckin the same rims i've lookin at,but i dont know if he had to customize the front to get them to tuck. I might start a new thread askin if anyone is tuckin 8.5' wide rims on a 1st gen. blazer.

2nd gen s-series are like 2" wider than a 1st gen. With a 8.5" rim, you might have to sacrifice turning radius in order for them to tuck, which would make you need more of an offset.. I wasnt going to sacrifice any, thats why it went with the rims I've got. Like 99% of the 18" chrome rims are at least 8.5" wide.
