Well i wouldnt buy new rotors. They are only 5 bucks at u pull and pay and the hoses can be reused with a little creativity. When you pull the rotor you will want to replace the bearings because no matter which style spindle you use it will save you time later. The seals can be reused if you are careful when removing them unless they are shot. Brake pads for older style are only 10 bucks. I see the older style drop spindles on craigslist for like 40 and 50 bucks all the time. So with a little patience and inginuity you could save money this way but what do I know I've only been fucking around with s series for 17 years.

Okay safety is important. I noticed you have a bagged blazer so I guess since safety is important to me also, I wouldnt drive something that has had the frame cut and welded. So you see saftey is a different to different people. I'm not trying to start a fight with you, I'm just trying to help people know there are cheaper alternatives.

every one have a idea and everyone is entitled to there own. but we were talking about the 98 and up blazers. and since you into safety why would you down grade the stock brakes top something lower?

if you search around i got my blazer spindles off s-10 forum for $150

Ok if you don't care aout stopping that well use the older style brakes, but i like to stop and know i will stop not hope and pray. I upgraded to the newer spindles so i could have twin piston calipers, then found out you can buy some brackets and special hubs and run the newer calipers and rotors. the price is about the same either way, but with the special hubs you can run the older style bearings with the newer style brakes and rotors and not pay $200 for one hub bearing
