I didn't say that to make you mad. Just to tell the truth that it will not work. But its all good. Thats how we all learn. By the way, they do not make crank bearing spacers for that setup. Only for the 350 crank and 400 block setup.

im just gonna scrap the idea. the 350 or 283 is what im leaning towards. i also heard that i could bore the 283 to a 4" bore making it a 301. what do u think?

if u mad ethe 283 a 4" bore it woudl be a 3023 just liek u were ttalking about.. u can;t bore it taht much. what they also used to do back in teh day was use the 283 block and a 327 crank ot make a 301, but i forget waht rods and pistons they used, but apparently it was real easy

of the first one def. isn;t right.. buyt there is a number for 468642 which is an easy mistake to make. they are 76-up...350/400

but the other onei cant; figure out ... im not too sure ur heads match. cloesst thign i coudl find to that oen was 3998991....72-73...307/350......75cc chambers

i really am havign trouble cuae i dont; think ur heads match. either way u gotta recehck the numbers. they are squished sometimes and hard to depict jsut gotta look close. only need the long nubmer at the end though

I'm running a very similar cam in my new engine. My cousin has one in his El'Camino. Gives you good lopey sound and good low end torque

what size carb do u think i should run? and which intake? how much hp do u think ill have with these?

-im gonna have a 9:1 or 9.5:1 compression ratio
-my heads are gonna be ported and polished and will have a valve job done, everything else is rebuilt to stock.
    -im using my wolverine cam
    cam lift .295/.310
    valve lift .443/.465
    adv. dur 280/290
    .050 dur 214/224
    lobe ctrs. 107/117
-it will have headman s-10 conversion headers running to 21/2" pipe with flowmaster 40 series origionals.
-and a stock ignition system for now.

    thanks

How many cc's are the intake runners on your heads?

What size valves do you have?

Are you using 1.5 rocker arms or 1.6 rocker arms?
