    im hoping the headders are aftermarket ones so that they wont fit my motor..lol...i can sell my tpi system, and the guy i would sell it to might be interested in my block, even though it needs a rebuild...
    im gonna make some calls today regarding the Lt1.

    o.k, news on the truck...
    the noise was the crank bearings...i could do these options...which one sounds good?

    A) rip the motor out, send it to a machine shop and build it up for some mild performance. ($3500)

    B) Buy the LT1 for 800 and drop it in...total is about ($2500)

    C) Get a new crank kit

    What is the primary focus of the vehicle?
    Daily driver --- get an injected LT1
    Daily driver and occasional race -- add nitrous
    weekend only - rebuild it healthy
    race / hardcore street - stroker


    If you have to worry about emmisions down the road, the LT1 will just need some CATs

    id say go with the lt1.. since your obviously going to get fucked HARD with the motor thats in there now* $3500 * plus you can say you got an lt1 lol and you can also sell off what you had on the motor thats in there now to make back some of the money for the lt1..

    this LT1 deal seems too good to be true!!
    the guy said its fully running and all, he'll even deliver the motor to the shop. all for 800CDN.

    could it just be that things are working in favour of me? or is there somthing wrong here??

    i've never had good gas mileage with the TPI, so i would love the gas mileage of the Lt1. and its a daily driver/ street machine. i do plan on running a 100-150 shot in the future...so yea...Lt1 it is...

    the shop i get my work done at...the mechanic...he is incredible with tuning and he'll tune my computer on the dyno... so hopefully i'll have some new hp/trq figures for u guys..

    LT1 w/ dual flowmasters and no cats plus he could probably get another 25HP to the wheels with tuning. what kinda power do you think that'll put out?

    what little things need to be bough? i have msd 8.5's, what are some good spark plugs and shit?

    you can sell the TPI intake alone for $300, serpintine brackets for another $200. I'd go with the LT1, as much as I hate to say it.

    i dunno. i DEFINTELY would not trust that. the cheapest i can find completel lt1s is 1500 and thats with high miles. and thast american money. it sounds WAY too good to be true. is it complete or not?

    the TPI is pretty much sold to one of my neighbors, for like 2 years he's been bugging me for it...
    i could probably sell the whole block, tpi setup for 500...may as well be generous. and i have a tranny to sell now too...
    i wouldnt mind looking for a kid with a blazer and force him to drop my old v8 in if i sell it to him for cheap...

    IM GETTING THE LT1. im telling the guy to bring it down on thursday..it has 120km on it and its turn key ready pretty much, motor, harness, tranny.

    Im getting the motor on thursday! BUT i think the guy said it doesnt come with a harness. However...since i have the Commander 950, wont that take care of the computer situation?
    it has heads too i think? i just cant remember the name of the brand, Brothers somthing???

    what does the harness control and will i have to get one now?

    the harness controls everything fuel injection related. My FAST system came with it's own harness, did your Commander come with a harness when you bought it? I would think the harness from your TPI could at least be modified for the LT1. IF not, painless sells a great LT1 harness.

    yea it came with a harness, so everything can just be pulled off my tpi and put onto the Lt1 then...
