    alright picture time
here is the jamb, I did not cut out and reinforce the jamb because it was not needed, you can see were it was cut, the hinge was bolted in, and the 1/8 plate on the door used to reinforce it

here is the new location of the striker, bolted to a piece of 2 inch angle iron, the other piece of 2x2 on the jamb was used for the door popper

Man thats awesome! Im definetely doing that now. I got some questions tho. If its being done in a blazer, since the cab does not end right there how could I reinforce the hinges? Also, besides the seats, what else of the interior will have to be stripped...anything? Do you think it would be possible to get me some measurements?

If you could get measurements of everything measurable that would be sweet. But heres a question....Could you align it this way...bolt the hinges into the blazer and everything, then bolt the door side of the hinges to a piece of steel. Then close the door with the normal hinges, and the steel will be against the inside of the door. Then just weld the steel to the door skin and it would be aligned perfectly? Then just unbolt the hinges, take the stock hinges off, rebolt the suicide hinges back on and ur set?

whats with the bolts stickin out the back of your cab? that keeps it from saggin? Also will the door panel fit back on or will you have to notch it some to clear the hinges

The bolts make it so the hinges dont flex (actually the sheetmetal). Blazers dont have that option tho, so im gonna try and figure something else out. You'll probobly hafta put little notches in the door panel. CDUBZ, did you put the latch where the old hole for all the electrical was? Can you measure for me where you located the hinges in the jam?

Okay, If I strip out the plastic behind the rear door jamb, is there access to the back of the jam? If so, ill prob just weld a bar between the two hinges and to the jam sheet metal.

CDUBZ thats by far the most informal thread I have ever read for something I want to do so badly. Would it be the same to do on a 4 door blazer, cause If I was going to suicide door the blazer im getting, i wanna have the door handles shaved, and filled, and door poppers installed as well as having the door being suicide, I know for sure im going to run into some confusion. Thanks for all the pics it is much appreciated! And the little statments under them!

slimjimmy, do you need the measurements from top to bottom or side to side of the jamb? or both? The bar idea thumperc25 brought up is a good idea! And blazindubz when you do your doors, if you have any questions just pm me. Also the door panels had to be notched for the hinges.
