    $75.00 350?

This is a good price right. Even though i haven't seen it yet, i know it runs, or did run before it was parked. It's out of an older Chevy 1/2 ton. It's currently parked in a field. The guy drove it until he parked it in the field. It's been there for about 2 years now. I will have to go pull it myself, but that is fine.

You guys think i should jump on this? Anything major i should be concerned with considering the truck has been sitting for approx. 2 years?

nice price if she still runs and not locked up. Main thing is if it had antifreeze in or if water down the intake. Check it out really good. Do you know what year 1/2 ton?

That's not a bad price if it's rebuildable meaning not
    cracked. I bought a 350 4 bolt main a couple of years
ago for $50.00, it smoked a little but that was it. Just
make sure that it is what it's supposed to be. Check
the casting numbers because you don't want to find
out after you've spent the time and money to get it
just to find out that it really is a 305. Check out
    mortec.com for the casting numbers.
I'm better than some but not as good as other's!

Apparently the motor ran fine. The body of the truck was shot, so that's why it was parked.
The guy who's engine it is, is a good friend of mine's dad.
I don't think he's out to screw me.

How do i know for sure again if it is a 350 vs. 305? where again do you look on the engine?

    Thanks,

    Well,
I got more info on the engine. It is a 350 for sure with 4 bolt main. It's currently in a chev 3/4 ton truck. I have to wait until the snow melts a bit before i go and get it, but i'm pretty excited. I've settled at $125.00 CDN with the guy for the motor. I know it ran well before it was parked, so hopefully i'll just have to give it a good once over, flush the engine, new oil, clean/rebuild carb. Even if i have to rebuild it, i think the price is worth it. So me and a couple of buddies along with a couple cases of beer are going to remove it near the end of April. I might see if i can grab the tranny along with it too. We'll see.
