    Question im afraid of heights

hey whats the best way to drop a blazer and get the best ride quality and suspension like cornering. I know that you get better turning when you drop because your lowering your center of gravity but the ride quality is something im also worried about anybody got an ideas?

    Cool my 2 cents...

For your first 2" in the front use spindals. that will keep you stock components(shocks and springs)if you want to be any lower then get spring witch can add 1"-3" more, but you must change you shocks for that one. No matter what you do I sugjest that you will need to go to an allignment shop afterwards. In the rear you can start with leafs for a 3" drop, which i think is better than blocks, witch you can get from 1"-4" and add to the leafs if you want. also you might want to get Pinion shims so your rear will line up with your drive shaft better. you will also need to replace the shocks also. I put air shocks in the rear of my Blazer and it helped alot on the ride, But no matter what you do to the suspension of your your ride it will not hanndle exactly the same when it is lowered. But trust me it is all worth it.

any more questions? I'm glad to help

ok cool so i got another question what are pinion shims and what exactly do you mean by it wont handle the same better or worse like im thinking going with either a 3 inch beltech drop or 4 inch drop depending on what my twenties look good with.

Pinion shims lift the rear side of you axle up a few degrees to lower the differencial yoke to compensate for what lowering does to that angle. Pinion angle it very important. When you lower the rear 4 or more, you screw up this angle.

I have spindals,Springs, and Blocks for a 4" drop all around. well I personally think it is better up front but my back is a little rougher, but it was alot worse befor i added AIRShocks I got from a local part store. It turns better to me because it dosn't lean as much but you got to remember it's a Truck Frame and Body... you will have to spend an Arm and a Leg to get it to handal like as good a sports car. I think my blazer handals real good, and I like how my back will slowly bounce down the street. so to answer you question it's better but some may think it could be better.

    Red blaze

ok cool so basically its beter than it was and because you lower your center of gravity less wheel hop and more ground hugging.
what size rims you got on your blazer (blazinBlue)

Zepia- I realy dont know a thing about Fords, other than my dads Model T. If he has a Chilton's manual, I can probably figure out what to do by asking a few questions.

Did you ever get my PM???
