    torsion bar drop

I just ended up removing my blocks from the cross member and welded them to the bottom of it (the crossmember) making sure they were in the right position. Then I put everything back in place and put the adjuster bolts in and adjusted um all the way up I'm sittin 5" down.

Okay, I have seen this question asked a few times, yet I have not seen an answer....

after lowering it, will the 4x4 still be usable? is there a certain height that it has to be for the 4x4 to work? I would like to lower mine, but I still want to use the 4x4 (live in Canada, lots of snow, lol)

My bravada is all wheel drive and i havent had any problems(directly related with the drop) with the shafts. I recenty tore a boot since they are in a odd position and the shaft had like 120,000 miles on it.

in other words yes 4X4 will work with a 4/3 drop as long as you dont go lower than 5 you are ok.

Good info here....I've gone down about 3-3.5" in the front on my 97 and I can notice that the camber is off, will the alignment shop be able to correct this enough so that I'm not tearing up tires and other suspension components? I have just done the typical tbar trick but I have not flipped the adjuster block.

Well cranking the t-bar bolts out isn't really a trick I guess, I have seen mixed opinions on the keys, I have no problem buying them but would rather not spend $100+ on them if I can get the truck aligned properly with just the bolts loosened. How much did sears charge you for an alignment?
