Sorry I am completely new to Blazers, I have a late 80's blazer with a turbo-charged modified V6, 4X4. I was wondering how low it goes by just lowering the torsion bars, and not having to do the key flip? I don't think I want 5 inches, I really only want 3-4 inches. thank you in advance.

take the adjuster screws out and replace the adjuster blocks with 1/2 in bolts, that will give you around 3 to 4.

if u really want, this is the ghetto way to lower it, and will eventualy give you some problems because of pressure adjustments on certain counterparts of ur suspension. i suggest getting the keys and doing it right the first way, u can put the bolts all the way up on the keys and still have a nice drop, wont be 4-5, more like 2.5-3.5 so its nice, and better ride

I can't get my keys off of my bars, I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and this thing probably has been driven through every winter since new. The keys are rusted so bad to the torsion bars as well as in the control arm. I tried soaking them in Penatrating oil, as well as heating up the key. Any other ideas? I took the torsion bar mount bolts out thinking I could pound it back and take the mount, keys, and bars out all one shot, No dice. I am almost to the point thinking I should just buy new keys, mount, bars, and control arms. Any help would be great.

yeah, dont mess with any of that and drill another hole in your crossmember for the keys to sit on and be done with it. should only take an hour if you spend the time to measure it out real good.

So after you install the 3" drop keys what will be the drop height if you don't screw adjuster bolts back again? I took my bolts off and threw them away because I didn't think I would ever use them again

ok...so I problay could just leave the 3 inch blocks in the back like they are and it would be even. I was thinking that the front would drop to around 4 so I was gonna put some 3" drop leafs with 1" block.

Actually do you think there is a ride quality difference between blocks and leafs. If there is I might just take out the blocks and swap them with the leafs.

You arent going to get the axle wrap or wheel hop you willl with the blocks, but with a stock 4.3 shoouldnt be really noticable. I liked the stock leafs tho because the beltechs are weak. So its up to you.

I don't understand. I thought you said you would only get 3" with the keys and the bolts out. How did you get 5???
