That plug in kit is ok, all it does is raise mainline pressure from your pump to like 160psi at most from the norm of around 125psi. You still wont catch second though.

At one time there was a thread on how to make one on s-series.org using low ohm resistors, and a 3 position switch.

I am glad your truck will catch second (I can catch 4th on a slight curve at 75mph:eek: ) But this thread is not about your truck or my truck for that matter.

X-consepts if you do have a 4l60E wich is a 700r4 just COMPUTER CONTROLED I just got done rehaulin & Overbuildin one in my brothers truck (95 4dr blazer w eng code) and you dont have to floor it and hope it is that special 50% that you squeek the tires cause your TV cable is not in adjustment. You can count on every shift 1-4 at any RPM to be a neck snappin jerk with rubber barkin for help on your 1-2 shifts and depending on your drivin conditions 2-3 also.

    soulflame adjust your TV cable!
Better yet just pull it tight and ziptie it to your radiator hose.

Little tip - never adjust the TV cable...It can really fuck up your tranny. Theres only 1 place its suppost to be set, if its shifting really hard even at low throttle, its adjusted wrong...if its not downgearing correctly and shifting at to low of an RPM, its adjusted wrong...theres only 1 place where it should be set at..any other position will shorten the life of the tranny.

can any of you post like a list of mods that i could perform to get my 4.3 to about 300??? right now all it has is a 50 series flow... and im supposed to get it back from shop tomorrow with a rebuilt transmission.... i know things like intake chip and programmer are a must... but i was also thinking about electric fan, pulleys, headers.... how much power would all that give me? and what else could i do to it to get more???

there was an issue of sport truck a good amount of months ago that had a tech article of how to get about 301 horses and around 316 torque out of a 4.3 by upgrading the cam, lifters, new pistons, and boring a few things out. so if you do that and throw a supercharger on it, your set with a good 400 - 450. the article itself was called 3/4 350, i'll look for the mag and let you know what month it was, might be able to order it somehow

I also am looking into building up my 4.3. I am also considering a V8 swap, but I think I want to stay with my original 4.3. I want to eventually turbocharge it, so I am definitely build up the engine. I am also shooting for 300hp, maybe 300hrwhp.
