    '87 Phantom

I have found phantom grills for 91-93 blazers but I haven't been able to find one for an 87. I was wonderin' if anyone knew where to get a paintable one.

alll first gen phantom's are the same so that 91-93 grille will fit on your 87 and if they try to sell you headlight relocator kit dont buy it cause you dont need one with a phantom. www.usautoparts.com or www.sporttrucking.com has them.

They make the Paintable one for a reason. yes, If you were to paint the chrome phantom it would flake but the paintable one shouldn't flake off if you prep it right.

How do you prep the paintable p. grille? I just bought mine from Sport trucking and it needs to be painted.

You guys are NOOOOOOOOBS...use sandpaper to scuff it up then the paint will not flake off like 91blazin2last's did. The chrome is not really chrome on the grill shells, it's plastic that can be scuffed to paint also. Ever seen a chrome grill rust on a s10?
