We have become part of something much more complicated than you or I will ever fully comprehend. We build more than just trucks. . . we build friendships, we build futures, we build our dreams. We drive our trucks low and hold our heads high because we have an unwritten and unspoken agreement that we will live life to the fullest and never fall victim to 'the norm'. Others laugh at us when we spend hours on end working on our trucks, yet shake our hands when we are done. --Wyatt Strange

How do you find out if you abel to get this recall? My ABS doesn't work anymore. I bought a used ABS module and never had the time to install it yet. I just bought one of those hazard repair kits too.

I got a recall notice a while ago, I forgot excatly what it was but it was something stupid, nothing like this.

The recal is for a defective module that won't stop the truck properly if it is in 2wd and only two of the 4 wheels slip.

It happened to me and the f'n truck just wouldn't stop.

That could be something to do with a proportion valve malfuction.

I forgot what his names was on here...I think it was N20noma or something like that. He had a fix to the braking problems with 2nd gens. Do a search for it

do our trucks have proportioning valves and if so then where are they? cause when i told my dad i was having that problem, thats what he told me but we didnt find one. so i did talk to N20Noma and he said to flip the brake lines. so i did and it kinda reduced the amount of times it happened in a week but it didnt solve the problem. so i dunno. and now i got the front bagged and when the front it hit up it does it alot more. i dunno i learned to live with it.

Just call your local GM dealership (doesn't have to be a chevy one) Ask for the service dept. Give them your vin# and they will go over all of them with you.

    Recalls and TSBs

I usually go to this site to find out about any recalls or Technical Service Bulletins. I got my 1995 blazer back in 1998 and this site helped me out a lot. Everything wrong that pertained to my truck was fixed from this list.

Now I only wish they would do a recall to get my truck's computer flashed for free....

Has anyone had their computer re-programmed? I would like to know your experiences with this and the cost....

Hope this helps someone else out... :bigthumb:

Ive gotta get mine in for the abs recall eventually but first I have to get all new sensors because they dont work. The driver's side front is ripped off and the others show an 'erratic signal to the control module' or something like that.
