    a/c evaporator housing prob. w/ v8?

    I heard that the a/c evaporator housing could cause exhaust and valve cover clearance problems & might have to be cut/modified. anyone heard of this problem from a 87' 2wd 2.8 orig. ?? I was gonna use Heddman shortys. Thanks

    It may cause minor interference with the engine set all the way back. Mine did. However get the engine in and set where you want it before cutting the box. The JTR book explains it all but try not to cut it too much. The patch work is a pain the the ass.
