    Bonestocks V-8 swap

    Hey guys I started my swap and have made substantial progress for only working a couple hours a night.

    The eng specs are;
    1985 350 2 bolt main.
    bored and honed W/deck plates .030 over
    Micro polished the crank
    Pro street damphener
    lightend rods
    SpeedPro flat-top W/valve relief's (Forged)
    ARP studs on main caps, heads and new arp bolts on rods
    total seal rings
    V8 flywheel 12" HD clutch PP and TO bearing
    All balanced
    home ported W/P heads
    2.02-1.60 SS manley Valves
    clevite 77 bearings
    Accel DFI roller camshaft 210-218@50deg 499-525 W1.5s
    PP Crosswind intake
    manley oil pump and hardend shaft
    Edelbrock 750 (for now I am building a 750 holley)
    MSD 85551 distributor and 6al spark box
    headman headers
    Summit dbl roller chain
    Summit 1.6 ratio rockers
    Backed by a nv 3500

    you might have a cooling issue with that pulley setup. You don't have much wrap on the water pump pulley and it might slip.

    I thought that would be an issue.

    I ran it the same way on the v-6 for 2years without a problem BUT: the v-8 is a different animal so we will see.:confused:

    Well guys I have all my junk on the truck now and taking it to the exhaust shop asap. Here is a pik of the fuel cell, Now I can run duelsout the back:bigthumb: I will have more pix of the exhaust later.

    you will have to build a firewall between the cell and the passenger compartment in order to race at the track.

    They have grudge night at the track and they dont tech very well, sometimes not at all.

    anyway I like it.

    fumes might get annoying, what are the measurements? it might fit in the stock gas tank location like mine did.

    I will drop it down about 6" or so later but for now its OK. The fumes are vented outside ( I was a lil worried about that) It sat in the sun all day and I climed in and no gas smell. I cant wait to get the Borla's on:bigthumb:
