    caddies woo woo!

ok so i finished the caddies about a week ago, but i have been lazy so i didnt have a chance to upload any pics, but now i will.

this is what i started with... altezza no more!

here is the caddie lights and the buckets i made for them.

heres the fillers i bent up (lol the sheet metal is from a tool box)

    fillers down to bare metal

metal ground down ready to be welded up.. plus the insides of the stock taillight bucket, cut out

    filler welded up

filler cut and bucket welded in

bucket cut flush (welds not ground down yet)

finished product (forgot to show some bondo pics but ohh well)

still need to splice in another light socket for the brake and trun signals but yes its done... sure beats altezzas! now i got some Caddillac in me!

same haha, looks good, it doesnt look like you cut any relief cuts to do a compound curve in your fillers?

that because i didnt... lol i stretched the metal to make it curve like that it came out really close to the extact curve.

yea but the kit makes it look lower which is ok since it a 4x4 and it will never be slammed (wish it was:( ), without major work and alot of$$$$$ so the kit does its job. if it was a 2wd id rip it off immediatly.......

....also i was thinking of making a steel rollpan the rolls under instead of the way it is now... and then rebuild the the side pieces on the back.

I say you be a man and just rip it off and rock the frame hanging down. Its not like us 2wd guys dont have a big ass thing hanging down too. I rather see frame than fiberglass
