    rear end

i put in a 325hp sb and im wondering, will the stock rear.. i beleve its a 7.5" hold? its not guna be under hardcore racing, it'll be a daily driver with occasional rice burner spankings at stoplights. i plan on getting a bigger rear but cant afford it right now, looking for opinions on wether i need to baby this one or not.

well I'm not sure if you'll NEED another one....but if you do decide to change it you should consider getting a Ford 9".

Yeah you are going to want to get a new one.

I have seen a couple with ford 9"ers that is the actuall way to go.

    I HAD: 2.8l V6 w/ 700-R4, and the Stock REAR, It's Also 2WD and Peg legged.

I WILL HAVE: 355sb pushing around 300-350 horse, a new 700-R4, AND THE STOCK REAR.

Can I keep my stock REAR end and Change the Gears, and can I make it were both tires spin... posi? At least the Gears if I can't change it over to posi. I too have a daily driver but I'll save it for ever unfortunate MUSTANG that sits beside me at a stop light, and will ocassional take it to the DRAGS.

Hey, if any of you guys have replaced the weak stock rears--what have you used? And I know a 9" Ford rear isn't just going to bolt in, so what's the best route for installing?

Ive seen 9"ers installed in blazers. I dont know how they bolt up. But I have heard stuff about grand national 8.5 rearends fitting on blazers.

Those have 3.8 turbo's so it should be just find.

Thats just what i have heard
none of that is rock solid
