where can you get keys and how much are they? I was looking at the crossmember and it just dont look to safe to have a bolt that close to the edge even if it does have the lip, I still dont thing that it could handle that much pressure, it's what about 2000lb of pressure on each key condering that it under pressure

i don't think he's worried about the bolt not handling it........it's the crossmember's integrity to hold that kinda pressure so close to the bottom edge.......i even think that two bolts would actually be worse as far as structural integrity of the crossmember.............i would assume you want to remove as LITTLE as possible to keep it safe

well since thats the case heres a pretty good step by step with pictures! doesn't get much easier.
    LOL, thankyou!

It will, mine hasnt had ANY sort or flaring or bending or anything, and even if you arent satisfied still, you could spen maybe 10 mins. MAX and weld up and little square on the bottom of the crossmember to reinforce it even more.

Im not trying to force anyone, it just buggs me to see people spend that much money when they can use a little creativeness and do it themselves for free, plus you can tell everybody it didnt cost anything to lower your truck because u made it.

I trust my welds way less then that little pice of crossmember...

as A minitrucker I will drill a hole in my crossmember and hope for the best, if it breaks I will get another crossmember and lurn from my mastake (sp)

I was just looking for a better way and so far that seems the best to me
