Would my 99 blazer have a Thermal Flasher in it? and if so, where would I find it ?

the little round silver flashers are thermal they also chould be blue or yellow pastic if its a GM and is the orginal, they are a bimetal inside when it heats up from the current going though it it bends the metal and disconnects now it starts to cool off and bends back and reconnets then heats up again bends and disconnets and so on and so forth as long as eongh current is passing though thats why when you have a burned out bulb it blinks slow or wont blink at all less current going though or if you use leds ,they use very little current so the flasher never heats up to make it blink...take one apart someday its cool how it works :bigthumb:

they are in the dash uselly by the sterring colum 1 for the signals and 1 for the hazards i would think a 2nd gen would still be using a thermal flasher

Ive read what the thermal flasher does, Im just mainly concerned on where its located at on a 99 blazer. I went and asked my local chevy dealership if they've heard of it and they didnt know what I was talking about. Im asking cause my blinkers make the ticking noise while the blinkers are not in use and I was gonna replace the thermal flasher if I have one and see if that fixes my problem. I know the little black plug in box is flasher module or something the part that makes the ticking, but I dont see any circle shaped parts that would be the thermal flasher. thanks for the help

i dunno. i think i remember a mini truckin how to on the flasher making the blinker flash faster or slower with a little adjuster thingie. I assumed the thermal flasher and the flasher itself would be it?
