    100,000 miles

im about to roll over 100,000 miles and i was wondering what maintenance things i should do/have done. i have had the truck for 15,000 miles and i have done nothing other than changing the oil so i think i will be doing spark plugs and wires (any recommendations?).

    Thanks!

If you have done nothing since 15k other than changing oil, yea you will need to do a tune up. I would also recommend flushing tranny and a rear end. Im hoping you have been replacing your air filter every now and then. I would also replace fuel filter, O2 sensor and the belt... Oh and flush your radiator!

If you can't do your custom work yourself then sell your ride.

how about some more info, is it 2wd or 4wd? a 2wd is pretty easy, a 4x4 has sealed bearings so you basically don't worry about those till they go bad. tranny flushes are pretty easy, 2wd is a no brainer as long as you make sure you install a new gasket and install it correctly. a 4x4 is a little harder because on at leats mine 90 2 door 4x4 there is a cross member in the way, i got around the cross member but i couldn't get the pan all the way out.
My trucks have a few mods

    Basic Maintence on S-series.

Transmission Flush every 15,000 miles, if you have not done this on a regular basis it's best if you drop the pan, and change the filter out, then do a flush. Pan drops only get roughly 60%-70% of the fluid out where as a flush will get 99.9% of the fluid.

Rear Diff fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles(unless you tow then the fluid exhange should be sooner)

    Radiator flush
dex(red)- flush every 90,000 milesi(class action lawsuit against GM on Dex not lasting 150,000 miles, people are gettting so much sludge build up they are having to replace the radiator. I recommend flushing it at 90,000 miles)
    green-30.000 miles

    Fuel filter every 30,000 miles

    PCV valve every 30,000 miles

Fuel injection cleaning (3 part cleaning, not just something you pour in the gas tank) every 30,000 miles

Brake flush should be performed after a fluid test has been done. Usually fluid will become dirty after roughly 30,000 miles, but could be longer.

Here's a list of the pricing on the services at my shop. You may find it cheaper or more expensive else where, but hopefully this will give you a rough idea.

    Transmission flush-$99.99
    Transmission pan drop- $109.99
    Radiator flush-(dex) $74.99
    (green) $59.99
    Diff service-(80-90)$29.99
    (75-90)$39.99
    (75-140)$59.99
    Fuel Injection-$59.99
    Brake Flush-$99.99
    Fuel Filter-$34.99
