    '76 Impala Chop Please?

Hey, just picked up a '76 Impala, gonna totally rebuild the 350 in it. I Know I know, it's a heavy ass 4 door, but It's gonna be my big ass cruiser and anyways, Chicks Love A Big Body :D Anyhow, was wondering if someone could remove the wheels from the Bronco (Yes Yes I know, its a ****ing Ford Bronco II but was just trying to find wheels similar to the ones I'm putting on it) and put them on the impala Maybe shine them up some? :bigthumb: :) . Then repaint the impala red, but more of a cherry red, and if at all possible 2 black stripes down center. Shave doors, and drop it to about "laying frame" height. Thanks in advance if anyone gives it a shot.

I used to have one of those! They are awesome cruisers. I have been looking for another for quite a while now. How much did you get it for?

$400, Fires right up first shot, but the fuel lines need blown out as the car sat for 4 years, has very minimal rust, interior is completly trashed, torn seats, cracked dash, no trim, no carpet. So that'll need some work. Overall though, it'll be a fun little project, and a nice cruiser when its all done..

Oh btw, it'll be getting bags :bigthumb:

Damn... ghost town... Guess everyone else is more truck oriented. If you decide to drop that project I would be glad to buy it off ya. :D

Plans for the one I wanted to build were basic 350 for starters. But bag, shave, stereo from hell, and nice leather interior. Oh the plans... instead I am stuck with the PGT project. :(

Yeah, were totally rebuilding the engine, just picked up a set of 500 $ heads two days ago, painted them candy red last night. Still need everything else though, but as it sits right now it's a running 350, that still hauls some ass, so Its not that bad. As far as the interior goes, I pulled a pair of bucket seats outta a volvo yesterday, a little modification and leather re-upholstering and they'll be what I wanted. I cant find trim anywhere for the interior so I'm still kinda trying to figure something out about that.

Also, yesterday after painting the heads, I got bored, sanded down the whole car, and primered it black, with white racing stripes down the center. :)

I'd still like a chop if anyone gets a chance please :) I cant find any sites for mid 70 impala's, so till I do, and probally still after, I'll always come back to blazin low for help!

Got the camera tonight, waiting till tommaro when there's light so I can get a decent picture. I started to take it for a little drive today, come to find out... the tires on it were a bit dry rotted.. blew out two tires before I even got 20 feet. So, guess It'll sit there till I get the 16x10's on it it :D Ripped out the bench seat and put in the two buckets from the Volvo. Looks pretty decent, and I got that extra leg room a 6'6 person needs! Will get some pics up tommaro in case anyone is wanting to see some.
