    Suicide hood light

Has anyone run a light on the "top" of their suicide hood to illuminate the engine compartment? If your town is like mine, people flip out when they see the hood for the first time at a gas station or wherever. I would like to use some small lights to point at the engine compartment to give it an extra touch. I thought about using some small fog lights or Egg Lights to point at the engine compartment and give it a nice soft glow. Has anyone done this?

Hector i was thinking about this a while back when i was thinking of modding my hood and before i found out about the little mishaps that can happen if it opens

get a set of neon underbodies in a white (or whatever color) and
hide them behind the lip as to not see the damn tube.

that should give you a nice glow under the hood.

you could also wire up a pin switch like from a door to close the curcuit and light them up when its opened

Yeah I would use a door-style switch to close the circuit and I'm actually leaning more towards some spotlight style lights on the hood itself. If my plans fail I'd just go ahead and hide some neons on the water run-off lips on the fenders. :bigthumb:
