There is nothing unsafe about it.

also a thought to remember the blazer frames hang 1 inch lower then the s10 frames, which would be even lower then that s10 that guy posted up which is udderly rediculous on a blazer without bags

BTW the least ghetto way of doing a 6/7 IMO is 3" leafs, 4" blocks, 3" coils, 2" spindles, and a little trimming on the coils.

7" in the rear isn't at all realistic, i don't care how little you drive it, your diff is going to find a nice home in the floor cause that's where it's going to be. You'd have like 1/4 inch clearence. Ghetto!

with out some triming you will not get more than 5/5.5 out of the rear. i don't see how you could get 7 inches of drop without some sort of a notch. i had a 6/5 on mine and it sucked. i used spindles and cut a coil off of 2'' drop coils to get the 6''s. i was running 245/40/18 tires and it didn't run too(key word) bad. it really isn't unsafe to you, but very unforgiving to the truck.

IMO, if this is your dialy, i would NOT drop it more than a 5/5, 4/4 would actually be better.

BTW, my avatar is the 6/5 drop, and after it settled i had about 2 1/2'' of ground clearnce. you should really go get a ruler to get an idea of how low that is(all the time).

Hey Kyle, how much clearance did you have in the back between your axle and the frame with a 5 inch drop? Im kind of settled on doing that to my 1st gen and trying to decide whether or not I need a c-notch.

you will need a notch without a doubt. i cut most of my bump stops off and i had about this || much clearance. i would not cut the bump stops unless you have a notch ready to go in. i regret doing that. axel bangs all day, still bangs with the 4 inch drop....

Didnt you get a c-notch for yours? I remember reading it somewhere. What size did you get? I dont want to order one thats too big... Id rather bang my axle against the frame than my pumpkin against the floor. But at the same time I want to have some bump stops back there...

i still haven't put my notch on yet. it is jason's bolt in c notch(2.25'' more clearnce). i went with his because i don't plan on bagging this one, and you don't have to worry about gas lines, or cutting the floor. the pumpkin hitting the floor thing, audioholic has that thread in this forum about it. i should not have that problem because i raised mine up a 4/4 drop.

just remember with a drop that big you have almost no suspension travel. the truck will ride like a sleigh.
