My '89 GMC Jimmy 4.3 4X4 topped out at 128MPH but that was not accurate on a 205/50R15 tire. It was probally more like 85-90MPH. But with those little ass tires on it it was flying. I redlined it for about 10 seconds then let off. I was more worried about wrecking than hurting the motor. It shook like a wet dog at that speed, and scraped the skid plate every time there was a slight imperfection in the highway. That's what I get for using 22" tall wheels with a 7 1/2" front 9" rear drop. I had 2 1/2" of ground clearance with no one but my speakers in it. I never meassured it with my 180lb ass in the seet though!

I had my Ty to 140 on the Berlin Trpk in Connecticut, chasing down a Supra at 1am  It was scary, as I had the stock steering box in it still, 1 bad shock and no rear swaybar, I havent gone anywhere near that fast since.

stock ... an 89 cuts out at 95 ... which is where mine spent alot of time :D

.. since I've redone & resealed the engine and installed that Holley with a nice supercharger ... I can hold my own against a V8...

think it topped out at about 140 or something..
Blazin with a tow package... cause face it.. at some point a BL member will need to be pulled off a speed bump...
