we actually laid it on the ground yesterday and the notch isn't as huge as we thought. having it in on jackstands throws things out of perspective. with a 215/65/r14 the tire is about level with the top of the frame. So in the long run, its probably about perfect height to run a 22 if i wanted some day. It will be set up for 20's for now. I'll get some pics of it up later tonight with the rear end and tires in position so u can get an idea how it looks on the ground.

well then u cam to the right place. heres from today:
i've been working on the underside of the frame lately. the section where the old clip joins the new is done now:

I started capping off some gussets underneath too.

next weekend I'm hoping to get some major progress done. i have friday and monday off of school.

ok haven't updated here for awhile. i'm in the process of doing crossmembers and the 4 link now. the lower bars are tacked in. i need to get a bit more tubing bent for the upper bar/driveshaft x-member.

here's were we're at on the trans crossmember:

we also cut off the mounting pads on the engine crossmember so we could drop the motor down. i have stock hood dreams.

I have a question about the driveshaft, in the pic I have a part circled where it looks like the driveshaft will hit the crossmember or one of the 4 link brackets or both? Maybe its just the pic but it looks like it will hit with anymore lift.

hey good ceye, but shaved 96 has his frame goin underneath and it lifts good, cept the frame on his is under the axle not the drive shaft so i dunno, but also wondering. also joel, i noticed in your first pic, can u pull your cups and bag without taking off your ball joint?

OK, the 4 link bar is just sitting on that crossmember in the pic. i thought that would be pretty obvious. its not staying there. the upper bars will be triangulated out from the center of the axle to a new crossmember, thats why the tubing is welded over top of the diff. and yes, the driveshaft will hit the frame at full lift. that piece is getting cut out once the new crossmember for the upper bars is built.
