if you have a 2.8 it WILL NOT bolt up. if you have the 4.3 it WILL bolt up, you may need to shorten the driveshaft, im not sure but its pretty cheap

the tranny is a 700r4 only bolt up to that block. it wont work on your 350. you need a 700r4 from a caprice, monte carlo, ect or choose a th350, th400, powerglide, 200r4 ect.

700r4 trannys are only for chevy small blocks or big blocks you cant bolt a 700r4 4l60e t-350 or t-400 it wont even fit up to a 2.8 best bet would be to go to a wrecking yard and pull one out anyway hope that helps some...

The block of a 2.8 is 60*, the th 350 is ment for a 90* block. aka 4.3 or small block chevy. Your brothers 2.8 will need another 700r4 like it has. I don't know of any other tranny that fits.:smoker:

and 700r4 are a good tranny built or not. it just matters if the guy building it knows what he is doing

id take a 700r4 over a turbo 350 anyday theres nothing wrong with a 700r4 as long as its built right, the reason i thought that 2.8s didnt have 700r4 was because i thought i remembered driving a 2.8 and it not having overdrive... oh well i guess i was wrong sorry
