the whole thing is the leaf pack
the top one is the main leaf spring
the bottom one is the overload leaf, it isnt a spring
the other two are leaf springs

pulling the bottom leaf spring (not the overload) alone will drop you about 1.5" ... pulling the top one alone will drop you closer to 3"

With NO tension or load on them, remove the u-bolts and move the axle out of the way. Usually you can jack the axle up a bit to lift it off the perch. Then, use c-clamps and clamp on each side of the bolt that holds the pack together in the center. After they are clamped, you will need to pry apart the bands that hold the leafs together, just enough to slide them out of the way. After they are loose carefully move them, then remove the center bolt. Now you should be able to remove the selected leaf. Put the bolt back in, or a shorter bolt (grade 8 of course) and tighten. Then slide the leaf bands back into position and ensure they are clamped around the pack again. Finally remove the c clamps and reassemble the axle on the springs. The torque on the u-bolt nuts need to be 80 ftlbs. Hope this helps...

For safety reasons you should at most only remove the bottom leaf. Taking one out of the middle may cause to much stress on the main leaf and it could break. Not fun when they break going down the road at 60 mph. Been there once.... Its best just to get the right springs from Bell-Tech or whoever. I know they can be expensive but you will be happier with the results.

i have the BellTech leafs, and i'm contemplating taking a leaf out. either that, or take a leaf out of my stock springs and putting those back in...

but to me the lowering leaf springs bounce alot more.

the top leaf is the one that bolts to the frame that all the leafs bolt to, cant remove that one , just remove the one above the overload

i removed the 2nd biggest leaf ( longest one you can take out) and it gave me just under a 3" drop, if u remover the 3rd bigges (1 above the overload) will usually give a 2 " but these measures can vary quite a bit
