    .... 2.5 to 2.8 (i know its sad)

    ok i know its a dumb conversion.. but finding a 2.5 for an 85-86 s-10 has proved itself impossible. I'm gonna try and get a 2.8 for it, although ive been told since my truck is an 86, only an 86 motor will work because of chagnes they made or something. I just want to know if the wiring will work from the 2.5. if not, can i simply unbolt the harness from a 2.8 truck at teh firewall? any other tips or tricks i should know ?

    Probably won't help but my Dad's got a injected 2.5 standard from an 88 S15 for $50. Its in Fredonia, NY. Western NY near Erie, PA

    My buddy's father bought it new and always had synthetic oil in it. Had about 120,000 and was running before we pulled it to put in an LT1/460E.

    I stole the pulleys and water pump and alternator to put A/C on my parts runner.

    the head is differnet, but i can chagne that. how far of a drive would it be from philly do u think?
