    Question whats a good set of heads for a 350

    i have a 84 s-10 with a 82-350ci. im rebuilding the engine and i want to pick up a good set of heads to rebuild at the junk yard does anyone know what i should look for?

    what truck and year have 062 vortecs? like 96+ half ton

    882's are a half decent stock head but machine work is expensive. You can find them on ebay for $100-200, and some the have just been done. Depending on you cam lift, 062 vortecs $2-300, Best performance for the money

    I got 882's but if you want to spens a little money get a set of votecs.

    882s are the worst flowing production head gm made.. your best bet is a set of vortecs.. or even a set of old 461 fuelies or 461X heads if you can find a set

    I thought the worst flowing heads were the TBI heads but yeah the 882's are not that good.

    go to www.jegs.com they have every engine part there is...that it where we always get are stuff. They have some great shit!! other than that i dont know what u should get but jegs can help there # is on the site.

    882's are not the best , but their easy to get and there cheap and a little pocket porting will make them run good. Camel humps suck , Thet don't flow that much better, have no accessory holes for alt and PS and don't have hardened seats, which means leaded fuel or additives. Vortecs are great for the money . You must buy a vortec intake and self aligning rockers, and should not go over a 450 lift. A good used set of SR torkers are a good buy about $3-400 . You can use a high lift cam , a reg sbc intake can be bought cheap and stock rockers work fine
