    Question Front Clip Question?

A little over a year ago I sold my 87 S-10 and bought a 96 Blazer, Black 4 door. I have all kinds of mod ideas....but I'm not quite sure where to start. I don't like the grill and headlight assemblies on the 96 and I would like to know if I can swap them with a later year. Are the front clips the same? What other problems would I run into? If there is anyone who has done this, please give me some info.

I'm not sure anybody has ever wanted to get an older look on their blazer or s-10....but ok.... I imagine that it's possible if you stay with a second generation blazer.

Ummmm......hope that helps ya a little. Sorry

Yes, it is possible, but like Otter said, you have to stay with 1st gen.(94+)

My first post and I screwed it all up. What I was trying to ask is this. I don' t the Headlight assembly and grill on my 96, but I do like the 97+ Front cap. Is it possible to swap them?

To swap in a 98+ , you will need a New Rad. support, new head lights, new turn signals, and grill. They sell the kits in truckn and other magazines. I think they cost about $600 or so. I've had the front clip off my blazer before, its not that difficult it would take 4-6 hours. Not to mention you have to remove the raditor, and the AC condensor, which you will have to get charged when you are finished, which brings the cost up more. I will look for the kit and cost.

You can swap any front end in there from a 2nd gen s-truck, blazer, envoy, etc. If you gonna do it, I'd go with the envoy. I love the grill's and the headlights are bad ass. Your gonna need a radiator support from and envoy, plus the headlights, wiring, grill, air damn, etc. All factory parts add up to around $900 or so, and thats brand new. I'd stay away from aftermarket kits, cause nothin ever lines up. Look at some local junk yards, or do an internet junkyard search on like junkyarddog.com or one similar to that.
