So why did you move the engine back 1/2 inch? It doesn't look like you are going to have an A/C or anything? Or is it because those manifolds will hit the frame?

The fullsize manifold (driver's side) had rear dump, since the dump that is straight down pretty much runs into the front brake lines and close to the frame where the engine mounts, so I didn't want to use that side. I had to put the heater box on before I put the engine in since the engine is RIGHT against it. Hopefully it doesn't melt it.

ALSO: I'm using a 700r4 that has the vehicle speed sensor, since the 94 and up use a vehicle speed buffer for the speedometer. I couldn't use an electronic transmission since the TBI never had one.

Attached is the Desktop Dyno estimate of the power that the engine should have. Roller cam, 305 58 cc heads giving it compression of 11.16:1. 1.84 Intake, 1.5 exhaust, and bored .030 over. That's about all that is special... yet it gives that much power. If I went with headers it would be at about 450 torque, 300 horsepower. Enjoy.

Well why do you have 305 heads on the 350? Isn't that going to limit your rev?

Yeah, but the compression will be high, but these heads don't flow that bad IMO. Others will say they flow bad.
