Go with heads, intake manifold, carb, headers, and a cam. Make it breathe better.

I recommend a retro fit roller cam, better flowing heads, headers, and a shift kit :bigthumb:

    All of the above, LOL

what are you starting with and be specific.

Quadrajet, 1.94 heads, 268H comp cam, small tube headers and a 125HP nos kit will get 20 MPG highway, 16 normal and still get into the 12's with a good working chassis and the right gearing

I was at the junkyard today and I saw several van's that had TPI's in them. Those were like the only 350's out of ALL of the trucks and vans in the entire junkyard (other vans had TBI too) Why would that be? Should I go get those TPI manifolds? :D

Vans with Tuned Port? I thought they were only in 'Vettes and some Camaros - at least thats where I always look!

I'd grab 'em! and the conversion is definately worth the time and effort IMO.

    Interesting link here.

A polished or chromed TPI is just the shit - once again, my opinion. Realtively cheap if you can find them. I know - there's better, but i still love these mid '80s units. They look like they're making power just sittin' on the bench.

The van's TPI's intake wasn't as big as the ones on corvettes and camaro's. Someone care to explain?
