How many of you are running carbs vs fuel injection on your V8s?

Just curious what the majority of the people are running: carbs or fuel injection?

    edelbrock 650 manual choke,

    soon to upgrade to TPI
or an LT1 if i can afford it

IMO carbs are the way to go for top horses, but in the normal everyday world, i think i would trust the EFI computer to monitor my fuel ratio better then a mechanical carb (plus its SOO much easier to start on a cold morning)

the downside IMO to modern efi is that it is expensive to tune if your not running near stock engines or dont have the equipment to do hack the comp.

Last time - worked over Quadrajet.

    This time - TPI.

I believe I will be happier with the TPI. Besides - its looks better that a carb. :D

carb. and i have to disagree about the "less to go wrong" and fi being better for that. My carb has a dosen parts, most of them undern ormal use wont break without a sign. And if they do it is easily visually diagnosed. Unlike a Computer controlled setup requiring a type of reader and possible electric failure somehwere in the system or just computer failure in general. i drive a 30 year old car, have for the last 5 years, and ive had one problem with the carb, and that was a rusty gas tank clogging it up. Its never been rebuilt, or even dont mroe than cleaning it for appearance. Id like to see a fuel injection setup say that. My 90 tbi ran about the same as my 76 carb.
