Talking What to run tpi or carb

I would bet money that your going to have a much easier time with a carb. without being knowledgible about automotive electrical, timing, and setup. Your going to have a tough time. Biggest mistake you can make is getting to big a carb for your motor. If it a basic 350 cam intake headers stay small.and jet it up.

everything else is jsut like a stock v8 swap
well my 1996 S10 blazer is the VIN "W" version if that tells u anything about what kind of injection it is.

you say "when swapping a 4.3 tbi to 350 tbi all you ahve to do is rechip the ecu put 350 injectors in the TB" wouldn't a 350 TBI motor have 350 injectors in it???

I don't know alot about engines but Im willing to learn if I can find the right resources.

Blzngun- "If it a basic 350 cam intake headers stay small.and jet it up."

What do you mean by "jet it up?" My motor that I want to do the swap with isnt going to be any huge build...just like you said, a basic 350 with cam, intake and headers.

If any of you can direct me to some web pages that can school me on alot of this stuff, have at it :D

stock TBI on mine right now. It sucks.

I hope to run a TPI setup with an LT1 manifold modified to fit Vortec heads as soon as the suspension and body are done on mine.

Why does it suck? I would imagine that anything over the stock V6 is a drastic improvement.

You're probably talking looks and power over functionality, yes?

Yeah, functionality isn't great due to the fact that I didn't even bother tuning it. It still has the 4.3 computer. My plans were always doing a TPI setup and the TBI was just to get it running. Even then its still impressive though.

I just WISH a 5.7 computer was $30 here. The cheapest I found was $80 with no warranty at the yards down here. Not willing to spend that on a temporary setup. Besides, its too late, my truck is all torn apart again :p:
