An LS1 can be as easy a swap as a carbed engine with the new wire harnesses available. Only downside is that those new harnesses are $$$ which you obviously have.

I read on a magazine that all you have to do is splice in 6 wires and its ready to run. Well worth the money to have an un-cut, ready to run harness :bigthumb:

With most of the kits we design at PAINLESS all you have to do is tap into a switched (Ignition)12v source. It's all plug and play. The only other connections that aren't attched to a connector go to tach, speedo, and a brake switch. I think everyone, meaning the whole gear head community as a whole not just those present on the bords, seems to have the same misconceptions about fuel injection. Sure there is usually a lot to them, but every thing has it's designated place. In most cases, a connector will not plug into any other sensor or orifice on a motor unless it's into where it belongs. Even with head cam swaps, there are tons of companies doing mail order tunes. Like the PERFECT kit that was linked to is now offered with a COMP 222/224 cam and the computer is already tuned for the cam upgarde. You can do it all in almost one stop by going that route.

a carbed ls1 is only like 10 wires less then a regular ls1 swap, so if you gonna swap in an ls1 might as well go all the way

I want a TBI because Id really like to have one of those "pro street" looking breathers sitting through the hood like on Chad Lucas' pathfinder (I know he has a blower) or even the 3 holed design. I LOVE that look and thats what Im after

An LS1 isn't TBI is it?

You can still have an LS1 and have that style scoop if you use one of these http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...-P853C122.aspx

I didnt mean TBI because I was thinking of going with a carbed 350...but you get the look im after

And wouldnt the LS1 be FAR more costly than a carbed 350 or even a 350 TBI?

What kind of comparison are we looking at average price wise between an LS1 or TBI/Carbed 350?

Also as far as the swap itself goes, which is the easier motor to work with?
