im super excited, too bad i wont have my covered, heated garage built in time to work on my blazer in it before the cold is over. :(

My mom is making me my own 3-car garage/shop to store all my shit in as a birthday/x-mas present combined. Just to the house doesn't look like a junkyard anymore :bigthumb:

And yeahhh, i know, so much for the secret but I want a big buildup thread of my own :bigthumb:

I'll get the notches as welded up as I can tomorrow :bigthumb:

Oh and I got rid of my engine driven because I felt it cluttered the engine compartment too much and my homemade bracket was ugly. Its only a show truck that'll go up and down so I don't really need that much air. I don't like to show off much anyway. If I get switch happy I'll throw on a bottle of nitrogen

    thanks for the comments :bigthumb:

didn't get much done today because I ran out of wire and had to get some. I got the frame cleaned up and got the notches angled and one side welded

pic of my welds. I need to practice some more on metal this thick, I know they could be nicer, but they get the job done, couldn't break any of them :bigthumb:

why not? that same size tubing is strong enough for 4-link bars. They hold the weight of the truck, twisting force of the bags on the bars and the torque of the engine and keep it together, I figure the notch would be okay. Besides, it'll only a Sunday driver.

Who knows, maybe I'll just change my mind halfway through the project and to an entire stock floor. Right now I plan on stockflooring it from the firewall to behind the seats. After that, just do conventional. BTW, the size of that tubing is 2"x2"x1/4" its not as thin as it looks, its a BITCH to cut. Well, at least with the tools I have to work it with

this is sweet im in the process of baggin my 1st gen right now, im also going to mount my bags on my bars. i used 2x4x1/8 for my notches and 2x2x1/4 for my lower bars also (pain in the ass to cut with the 14inch cut off saw, takes forever) check out my thread for pics of what i have so far...

    my project thread
it would be easier with more money.
