I have a Gibson cat-back on my full size truck with headers and a new high flow cat. It sounds damn nice a little loud for everyday, but I like that sort of thing. It is fun to downshift in town and set off car alarms. Also when I take the truck on long trips with the wife on the highway she doesn't talk much because you have to yell to hear over the pipes.

Put my glasspack when he put his in. I love the sound of it. It's the 2.5'' I put a good thread up with pics of installation.

How about pypes, or magnaflow exhausts are they something that will hold up over time?

That would depend on where you live and the materials used in the exhaust. Almost a certainty it'll hold up longer than factory.

And why are you quoting a five year old thread?

I put flowtech raptor turbo mufflers on my blazer and they sounded good. Of course, it has a v8 in it, but my buddy had one on his 4 cylinder xtreme and it sounded good. Flowtech is made by flowmaster. I only paid 23 bucks at oreillys and I'm am very pleased.
