Ok so I've got a nice filter in My camaro...
but I've wondered if anyone sees any REAL difference from switching to K&N filter...
not FIPK, not cool air intake, just a K&N filter...
    Mileage increase?
    Anything?
    I've got a Stock 4.3 Vortech

As with any cold air intake if you keep the filter clean

I actually purchased a new fram air filter, and also a new K&N. I tried both out to see if there was a difference, and i do believe my car ran better with the K&N. It's a bit more throaty, but i also thought i noticed an improvement with acceleration/performance. Though i can't really say it was a huge amount, and obviously i wasn't able to measure the difference or anything to put on paper.

I actually just used a drop in K&N filter in my stock aircleaner for my TBI engine and noticed a throttle responce improvement. I have since upgraded to a CAI and there really wan't to big of a differnce between the CAI and the stock setup with a K&N.

years ago when my truck was completly stock and i drove the same route from work to home day after day, i'd set the cruise and it would kickdown at the same hills every time. I put the k&n in and it didnt have to kick down anymore at those spots.

I have noticed a big difference from switching from my stock filter setup to a K+N cold air system. Im happy with it.
