Not sure about that actually. But I do know that the other day I kept trying to start it, but the engine would spin backwards and fuck up my starter. Horrible noise. I retarded the timing some more and it stopped doing that.... But it hasn't pinged yet.
I'm honestly not sure what the compression ratio is. I have -5 CC pistons with 57CC 305 heads. What would that make my compression be?
And for the record, I don't have headers...

Will do. But I don't you think it would run shitty at higher rpm too? It's very smooth at rpms above 900, but it idles at 400-600.

I just didn't like the kicking on the starter, that more a sign of crossed wires

As long as you've been messing with this thing I'm starting to think you should put down your tools and never touch them again.

    ahhhahaha, nice one man,

nice to see you cleaned your truck up man, i think it had stuff growing on it, looks good now. I'd spray some white paint on the bumper (rattle can) we did it to a black s10 and it came out great, little orange peel but still good.

Entire front end is rattle can (bumper, hood, fenders, and was done when I got it) The bumper just needs to be buffed out. I'll do that sometime. I didn't really feel like fucking with the bumper today, but I got sick of seeing it sag, so I rigged it with screws to the fender (same way that it was done when I got it)
So that and the bumper doesn't fit my grille, that's why I don't really care for it.

Short one-rev sound file recorded in the interior.

And we had a local fair event thing here this week, as we do every year, and GM had some custom cars there, one being a GTO. I heard it start up and it sounded exactly like my truck, minus the shitty idling... haha. But I thought it was cool mine sounded as good as that...
