I don't have these on my blazer, but I can vouch that ssbc makes quality stuff, I put a set on a camero and there was a noticable difference, and he has had no problems withthem.

I have them, but I never had the stock calipers on my set up to tell you if they made a difference.

They are light as hell though!!

anyone ever hear about putting camaro iroc drums on s10s to lighten the back about 30 pounds? s10 stock drums are steel and iroc drums are aluminum, that might help alittle, but i still want discs in the rear

alright so i've been looking at the options for a brake upgrade for the blazer, and now i came across a new twist in my plans.

new question: should i upgrade my brakes now or buy 17" rims and wait another few years till i can afford the big brake upgrade?

if i get rims now then my brakeing will go down thus making my brakeing worse, but i can upgrade my brakes to the bigger brakes later?????

    what do you guys think?

have you thought about getting 98+ spindles off of a blazer, they're dual piston..

Your not gonna notice much of a braking difference just going from your 15's to 17's.

If you were going 20's then I say it would be noticeable.

Id probably do rims first. Get yourself a good set of performance brake pads, and you'll be fine.

A good brake upgrade, won't fit inside stock 15" rims anyways.

thanks guys, i think i'm going to get 17" rims and upgrade the brakes later.

ZZ4 i was looking at your cardomain site......what did you use for the 12" non-sealed bearing brake set-up for the front of your blazer? rotors, calipers, brackets.... thanks

well if i read the site i would have seen the parts list

Im running the tall spindle set up. Requires shorter upper control arm, and allows you to run either 11 or 12" rotors.

Theres tons of info out about it, especially on the SSF forum.

My set up is the ssbc aluminum calipers, 12" camaro 1LE rotors, and impala belltech drop spindles.

if you really want rear disc brakes just find a set from a 93+ camaro .. 93-97 have 11.5 rotors and 98-02 have 12" rotors.. i have the 11.5's on my sonoma and it only took a few hours to put on and it requires no mods it just bolts on...

i'll have to look in to the rear set-up, but i think i'm going with this set-up when i get some cash, they will work with my 15"rims and are 12" rotors so they will be big enough for bigger rims the set-up is cheaper on other web sites

    thanks for the info

i just found out that the ssbc wants less money for the 93-97 brake kit, than the 82-92 kit.........isn't the 82-92 front suspension the same as 93-97?
