theres a whole bearing assembly or somhtin in there it seem slike theres no way to get it out? or do you have to just cut it?

put the part your keeping in the vice, get a bfh, and try hitting on the round part that holds the bearings, and it should release pretty fast, if not just start hitting the guts as hard as you can and it will come or break apart.

i had no problem finding the clip inside. it took about 2 minutes. its right where the splined part goes into the bearing lookin thing. did anyone else have to pull all 3 ball joints and pull the spindle out to get the axles out? or was that just me.

i couldnt find any way to pull the shafts out with the spindle still on. the splined part wouldnt clear the bearing in the spindle, and the only other way i saw was if the diff wasnt there. i dont know how you guys pulled it out with the spindle and diff still attached.

all you gotta do is take the cotter pin and the bolt off the ball joint, then beat the shit outta the spindle near the joint, and it should free itself. if it dosnt, you need a separator fork. to put it back together, you just slide the threaded part of the balljoint back where it was, torque the nut back on, and reinstall a cotter pin. all in all it wasnt too bad, but i wasnt expecting to pull all 3 joints. on the passenger side, i pulled the outter boot back, and managed to pull the clip and free the axle that way. mostly cus the lower balljoint wouldnt break free and i didnt want to go get a seperator. its something anyone can do in there driveway without air tools or anything. hell, i used a freakin mag light without batteries as a damn breaker bar, so common now. steering seems alot easier and smoother now too, i guess thats cus all the cv joint boots were busted and had no greese in them. :D

Oh wait, now that i think back, i got a grinder and cut the shafts in half:bigthumb:
