Yeah, it sucks....the 1.5 od .120 wall tube I use for alot of my work has gone from 3.65 a foot to over 9.00 a foot in a year..and the DOM tubing is even higher....

Yea a 4x8 sheet of 16ga here is $98, metal is just killing profit unless you keep jacking the total cost up.

It all depends on the quality of the install. I've got almost double that in my install....lot more than just throwing a kit under it, though! In my opinion, that price would NOT cover laying it out on big rims (20's+).

I found a steel yard here that is really cheap. a 5x10 sheet of 16 gauge is about $40. I just bought 8 feet of 2x3 3/16 box tubing for about $30. But the local shop is more than twice as expensive.

I've gotten lucky. Out at work there's a shit load of contruction going on. That mean free metal out the ass and plenty of lumber. With a cut here and a cut there, there's alot of good metal and their just throwin it away. fuck that bullshit.

I think that price is very fair if you are getting Quality work. Dam cheap if you are laying it out on 20's And I would advise getting all your parts through Doug at SIC. Why wait on the phone for ever just to find out they don't have it in stock Doug can most stuff out next day I belive!
Your always going to have hey my budy can do it cheaper... But then you get something that needs to be fixed and fixing costs more than doing.
