a set of stock L35 heads will flow better then the stock LB4 heads you had worked over

Sweet. Another built up V6. My 2dr firstgen TBI 4.3L blazer ran a 15.3 on the motor at Nats last weekend. Mine has a little more work than yours, though. All forged rotating assembly, 4 bolt main, and a hair more cam (.515/.531 lift). Currently battling an ignition stability issue. I may be converting to a flying magnet setup soon if I can't sort it out.

I kept the stock rear end, but beefed it up with a studded rear cover just in case.

    Here's mine. :D

    Forged flattops

    Forged H-beam rods & splayed 4-bolt mains.

    Ported '96 vortec heads

    Installed

Studded rear end & 3" exhaust

    Obligatory Burnout Pic

I hope you have as much fun running yours around as I do mine. :bigthumb:

no offence but thats alot of money into your motor to run 15.3 i had a beaten up 305, with a small cam, shitty carb and a dying turbo 200 and ran 15.3 on 235 rubber 15 inch rims.

i really hope u can get it too run better man b/c i think building a4.3 is a pretty cool way to go

15.3 might not sound that fast compared to a V8, but considering a stock 4.3L TBI only goes approx 18 second runs, a low 15 is still 3 seconds faster than stock, which is a pretty big improvement.

There's more in it, for sure. It's got a pretty bad timing skew between cylinders right now that I need to sort out. In other words, each of the cylinders is running on a different advance, which sucks. As for the money spent and the result achieved. Oh well. Not your money, I wouldn't worry about it.

Eventually, the bottom end is going to see the likes of a healthy shot of nitrous. Gotta get some money together and my timing stabilized first, though.

At least they didn't buy some import and dump their money into that and still run 15's. At least they are doing 15's in style.:bigthumb:

You need to get a set of heads and an intake to match that cam. It sounds like what a lot of those "pro street" guys do. Stock motor with a 1 lope per minute camshaft. $1,500 will get you such a better running engine.

Calm down. You just said it in a rude "matter of fact" way.
He didn't say. "You go and waste all your money on that, you whore."
I wasn't trying to humiliate you, I just don't think BL should be an uncomfortable place for anyone. :)
